形態特徵

Perennial evergreen herbs; stems creeping, rooting at nodes, to 50 cm long; branches 4-angled, glabrous.
Leaves thin coriaceous, deltate-ovate to ovate, 0.5–2 cm long, 5–10 mm wide, apex acute, base rounded to subcordate, margin denticulate, undulate, glabrous; petiole 2–5 mm long; stipules deltate, sparsely pilose along margin.
Flowers in pairs, terminal on branches; peduncle 1–10 mm long; calyx ca. 2.5 mm long, glabrous, shallowly bilobed, 4-dentate; corolla white, often tinged reddish inside, tube ca. 10 mm long, lobes 4, oblong-lanceolate, pubescent inside; ovaries of both flowers connate.
Fruit globose, 5–8 mm in diam., red.
